The ALL NEW  Night Of The Living Dead, This classic 1990's remake comes to you from one of the stars of  "Dawn of The Dead"   Tom Savini,  (the biker with the sword, who's in charge of the gang who raid the mall)  It starts off Like the original 1968 version  with Barbara and Johnny off to visit their mothers grave in the middle of nowhere, also as before.. things soon go horrifically wrong.

  In the modern tradition of burning the bra.... Barbara is a much stronger character in this version, and although a little disturbed in the beginning, she soon comes into her own and grasps the undead problem faster than the rest of the house.. yeah that's right.. that sh*tbag Cooper is back again in the remake and he is as stupid as ever... theirs always one right?
This has to be one of THE BEST remakes of a movie ever done...

 This movies pretty much set out like the original and one can assume Tom Savini just wanted a colour version of the original to precede the 1979 Dawn of The Dead movie. which is great for us as we get a more up to date version.

The end of this is different to the original, but.. you'll have to watch it to find out....

Russell Streiner who appeared in the original Night of the Living Dead as Johnny, also appears in this movie as Sheriff McClelland, who has the line...  "Yeah, they're dead, they're all messed up"

 Bill 'Chilly Billy' Cardille appeared as a reporter in both the 1968 version and the 1990 remake.

Night Of The Living Dead 30th Anniversary (1999)

The 30th Anniversary Edition from Anchor Bay Entertainment (Released in 1999)  essentially removed 15 minutes of footage from the original film and inserted 15 minutes of new footage shot especially for this edition.

I will just list the differences here & some Screen Shots, as this is essentially the same film as the 1968 Release (besides the altered 15 minuets and music score)

The 30th Anniversary Edition Differences:

• A new opening sequence in which two graveyard workers bring the body of an executed child murderer to the cemetery. The parents of the murdered child are waiting at the cemetery, along with a priest, to view the murderer's body before it is buried. Before the body can be buried, it returns to life and begins attacking the group. This is the same zombie who is later seen wandering the cemetery and attacking Barbra and Johnny.
• A scene where the victims of a recent car accident return to life as zombies. Three of the car's occupants, a mother and two daughters, return to life and begin wandering down the street, while the fourth victim, the father, is eaten by another group of zombies who come across the accident. One of the prominent zombies during this scene is a one-armed waitress zombie, who appears again later.
• A few brief new shots of zombies wandering around outside the farm house, including the waitress zombie and the mother and daughters from the car accident scene.
• A new scene where the priest from the beginning of this version of the film is interviewed by a TV reporter while local townspeople are hunting zombies in the background. During the interview, the priest is attacked by a zombie and bitten on the cheek.
• A new ending sequence in which the TV reporter goes to a medical center to visit the priest, who has survived his zombie attack. The priest claims that the reason he did not become one of the undead is because he was been chosen by God. He continues by saying that the zombies are actually demons from hell, occupying human bodies, and that all dead bodies should be crucified. The TV reporter becomes frightened by the priest's ramblings and leaves the room. This release of the film is controversial among fans, and should not be considered the definitive version of the film.
•  This version also had the whole music score replaced.

You can bet theirs a B/W version with them 15 minuets put back in, But Ive not seen a colourized version with the extra 15 minuets, so i am unsure if that's out their...
